Friday Highday: After Dark
Friday Highday is a series of events hosted by Plant Body Soul, you can discover new cannabis brands, products and forms of consumption. I discovered Plant.Body.Soul online and was initially drawn in by the yoga side of things, then I saw that they are a cannabis marketing agency so naturally I needed to know more. They offered various yoga classes, meditation classes and sound baths so I had to try a class with them. Cannabis is very popular on the West coast, there is a strong acceptance of it and people treat it like alcohol. If you attend a cannabis event, there is ALWAYS a waiver, like every time without fail.
At this point I have lost count of how many Plant.Body.Soul events I have been to but the one constant is, each event is better than the last. Wether its their typical highday event or one for a client, its clear that they do their best to improve with every event. The first highday I attended had a surprisingly high turnout, the venue or hosts were not set up to accommodate the crowd so while several popular brands were there the crowds made it difficult to maneuver. After attending their smaller events I was hopeful that this one would be different. I was sooo right!
This event was beautifully curated, had more than enough space and (my personal favorite) communication was on point! The day of the event I received an email with details regarding parking, what to expect upon entrance and items that the venue does not allow (backpacks, waterbottles, etc. ). The first way to win me over will always be effective communication and this was it! I knew what I could not bring, they recommended a ride share option and even included the cost of valet parking that was available. A true setup for success!
Inside was a variety spaces, some indoor and others outdoor where you could play games, talk with various cannabis brands and participate in their vendor games. There were also 2 bars where you could get a mocktail or food that was infused, or a non infused snack and food for purchase.
Overall, I would say Plant.Body.Soul has found the right recipe to cannabis events in AZ. They are well planned, executed to perfection and definitely memorable. This time there were burlesque dancers, several DJs and another acrobatic performer. We loved the picture installations in every room, how friendly all of the vendors were, and lets not forget the short lines or abundance of space. I’ll be patiently waiting for their next event!
