Home Workout

Remember in March 2020 when the gyms closed?! I cried for 2 days. This is when the Panny(pandemic) became very real for me. If I can’t move my body how will I get through this? The answer came in the blessing that is my personal trainer. She made videos to demo various movements and would literally leave me dead on the floor with a kettle bell and a jump rope. The highlight of this terrible circumstance was now I can literally workout anywhere! with a few resistance bands and a jump rope 30 mins equals 400 calories burned. This section is where I will share all of my home workout finds so you too can have ease in whatever fitness at home means for you.

Workout but keep it cute

One of the ways that I keep myself motivated to keep working out is purchasing cute workout clothes. I love a brightly colored outfit, it feels like my day is just a little bit brighter and if you wear the clothes, don’t you HAVE to workout? Of course you do!

My criteria for buying is simple:

  • Tops & Bottoms cannot roll

  • Dry fit material is a must have

  • Comfortable enough to wear for a full day

  • No crotch gobblers

  • Affordable

  • Must wash well, no lint balls on the bras or tops

Workout Shoes

I would love to be the fitness person who has a plethora of cute shoes to match my rainbow variety of outfits but, affordability vs quality vs space in my closet keep my inventory down to two choices.

  • In the picture you will see my absolute favorite functional training sneakers by No Bull.

  • My second choice for hiking, long walks and any not smooth surface travel are Altra shoes. These shoes are costly but I can definitely feel the difference in structure, support and durability.

  • Maybe I lied a little earlier - there is a third pair of shoes; I like to use them for bootcamp style workouts where I could be running, lifting, squat jumping or jumping rope until I die of exhaustion. If I don’t know what I am getting into - these are my everything else shoes.
