UnPlug on Paper

Journals seem to be the latest self care fix, it seems like everyone recommends getting a journal to decompress but it wasn’t like that for me. I started using my journal to check in with my feelings quickly. A simple exercise was to write a few bullets

  • What am I thinking at this very moment?

  • What am I feeling at this very moment?

  • One thing that I want to achieve that day

  • Something that I need at the moment that will make me feel better

This simple exercise helped me to make a habit of writing my feelings to address them. Fast forward 5 years and I now take my journal everywhere to jot down cool ideas and flesh them out, make to do lists and even do my meal planning for the week. Yes I know you can do the same thing on your phone but having a book helps me to unplug to paper.
